cup or cuppa? please, do have a seat

Hi! I am so glad you could drop by. Today I’d love to share a cup of coffee or a cuppa tea with you. My young friend, Abi has invited everyone to tea, I hope you’ll stop by her place. Abi is a sweetheart and very welcoming and would love for you to join in!
Ohmygoodness, please, do have a seat. I see Pearl has introduced herself by rubbing (and leaving behind white hairs) on your pants leg. Sorry, I’ll hand you the roller brush before you leave.  Most Americans are more prone to have coffee with friends than tea but my SweetGirl is definitely a tea drinker so I do have an assortment for you to choose from. I wasn't sure who might drop by so I prepared for my more casual coffee drinking friends. I had some Everything Bagel Thins and cream cheese with onions and chives so we can have a bite too.

For my dear Uk friends (Australians, Canadians, do you drink tea?) and for SweetGirl I have prepared a bit more formal tea and sweet roll. I know you are in Spain, Alison but you are a transplant and have tea in your veins. You are very, very lucky because I usually would not have these in my house but the Pirate came home this weekend and I forgot to cook them. So, you have one, I’ll stick 2 in the oven for a surprise treat for the Chosen One then I’ll package the rest of the orange sweet rolls up and carry them to PirateTown tonight.

Oh, yes, he was home for the weekend but my talented actor homegrown is starring in the university musical and I am going to see him shine.  I am going with one of the goddesses. It is the other goddesses’ birthday but she lives 3 states away (in much warmer temps) so we will sing happy birthday to her together.

The wedding, of yes, it is now only 96 days away or……
96 days can be converted to one of these units:
8,294,400 seconds
138,240 minutes
2304 hours
13 weeks (rounded down)
It is starting to seem very soon. I am getting very excited, it’s a most glorious time of life. All the Edwards men have measured and registered for their wedding suits and per the Pirate's insistence he will not have any pink on (brother of the bride might want to thank him for that since they will be dressed alike lol).

Before that though the Chosen One and our traveling friends are headed to the tropics. And that really is soon. It's a surprise destination for the Chosen One and her to celebrate their 50th birthdays that occurred 4 days apart. We are returning the evening before my birthday..ummm yes, you are remembering right it's been a few years since you attended my 50th party. And um yes a few years ago on our last trip to Saint John we were celebrating his. Anyway, I'm sure we'll find creative ways to get free desserts or drinks... wait, it's all inclusive, they'll be happy to give us desserts and drinks "free" all week!

Well, I have definitely chattered on!! Your turn, how is your family?  Do you have anything special planned for this spring?  What are you crafting these days? And don’t let me forget to grab the roller brush for you before you leave!

  1. How did you guess I'd be popping in?! Loved the catchup...have a great time watching your Pirate strut his stuff...and the wedding is getting close now....something glorious to look forward to! I would have been able to tell you how much fun it was to meet so many of our boggy friends IRL this weekend!

  5. How glorious that cup of tea looks. Even the dog speaks 'tea-ish' in our house, if anyone asks 'do you want a cuppa tea' she appears from nowhere and stands by her bowl! How exciting to have a wedding to plan, I'll be back for more tea nearer the time, or maybe next time I'll have coffee. White with one sugar please!

    1. Too funny that she understands so well that your tea translates to "me, too!"

  7. I'm definitely a coffee drinker..no milk, no sugar, very strong! But I can chat just as well over coffee as tea and I enjoyed our meet-up today

    1. I am a wimp when it comes to strong coffee but the Beast drinks it very strong. I have to have a more mellow roast and a sugar. Nice think about having a Keurig, we can each have it exactly the strength we want :)

    1. You are so welcome, just because I walk around with white hairs on me doesn't mean my guests should ;)

  9. What a wonderfully informal catch up! I really do feel as if I was sitting listening to you - and I am indeed sipping tea. Considering myself rollered!
