The creative ones, that is!!
Yesterday was a gloriously creative, rewarding day.
I cooked three meals from scratch; brunch, dinner and the Chosen one's lunch for today.
Brunch was totally a creative "hmmm this is in the fridge, I'll put it in" and sooooo good!
egg, ham, spinach, mushrooms, onions, parmesan and cherry tomatoes
dinner
pan seared tilapia with lemon dill sauce, asparagus and carrots
the Chosen One's work lunch
chicken fried rice
I made 12 cards and one has already been mailed.
I quilted so I can be caught up before my receiving month arrives Saturday. Alison and Amy, they are being posted this week so hopefully in a week or so you will have them. Alison lives in Spain and Amy in Australia.
Then last night while watching The Voice, I worked on the rag bowl as long as my hands would let me. Can't wait to share it with ya'll in a few days!
Have you had any days filled with the joy of creating lately? If not I highly recommend it, it feels glorious to flex those muscles.
What an awesome way to spend the day! I loved seeing all of your creative projects - food and quilting and cards and everything. So happy you had that glorious day, Beverly! :o)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely felt great :)
DeleteOh it does sound like a glorious day! The food looks yummy and those cards are so cute!
ReplyDeleteSaturday I spent all day scrapbooking with my Mama & a friend - it was great. I completed 6 layouts and a card.
You are a project completing machine and I am sure it was even better with those 2.
DeleteHi Beverly! So glad Deb introduced us. I LOVE all the projects you're working on and I'm only slightly envious of your time. I adore making cards ~ I had a good friend who was a Stampin' Up rep so I have plenty of cute stamps. And that rag bowl looks AWESOME. Can't wait to see the finished product! ~Audrey
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by, Audrey! I need to look into selling some of my stamps. I have some that have never even been mounted :::gasp::: 99% of the time I use digital stamps. Rag bowl is completed and being shared today :)
DeleteI liked the look of that brunch when I saw it on IG. Interesting to see your seared fish there. I only heard of tilapia for the first time a few weeks ago, when my Mum bought some from the fish counter. It was a new one to her too. So exciting to see all your fabrics there for the Friendship Quilt. Of course I had to zoom in to see which might be destined to come my way :o)
ReplyDeleteI am supposed to be eating fish 2-3 times a week but it is soooo pricey. My Daddy has a place to get 10# boxes of Tilapia filets and bought me a box last week. I love and firm, white fish. Don't get to used to what appears to be your fabric batch lol Since you are anything goes I may change my mind by the time your month arrives ;)
DeleteChicken fried rice is a big favourite round here too.
ReplyDeleteI love the thought of the quilt squares travelling right across the globe. I might just have one all ready and waiting to make its way Bev -wards!
Pretty excited to see the quilt squares arrive this month! Of course I am expecting (almost hoping) there are other delinquents like me that will stagger in a bit late. Now the rag bowl is finished I am excited to make the quilt for that room but I have a much more important quilt to make first (for the Pirate shhh)
DeleteI love days like that! I've had a few recently . . . cooking, laundry, cleaning. I love looking at a full fridge with healthy food to grab and go.
