Elephant Stew
I am looking for menu inspiration and nothing is doing it so I share with you at least one that made me smile. Okay it's not politically correct at all but what hit me was sometimes coming up with meals feels this daunting a task ....no arrows please!
2 rabbits (optional)
1 elephant, medium size
Salt & pepper to taste
Brown gravy
Cut elephant into small bite-sized pieces. This should take about two months. Add enough brown gravy to cover. Cook over kerosene fire for about four weeks at 465 degrees.
This will serve 3800 people.
If more are expected, two rabbits may be added, but do this only if necessary as some people do not like to find a hare in their stew.
I love that last sentence!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks that made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteAmber from Shimelles class.
so that's why the advice is to eat an elephant 'one bite at a time'
ReplyDeleteThis really is a laugh out loud one ... especially the 'if you have extras over' part!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely
ReplyDeletea giggle moment
I like the cutting up and cooking. Let's see I'm hungry now - nope, won't do, I don't have 3 months to prepare and cook it. Good laugh. thanks.

ReplyDeleteThe worst part is that when I saw the title, I thought, "I wonder which cuisine this recipe is from!"
