Beautiful pic. We have cardinals here in Ontario, Canada too. I think there is a nest near by because I see them in my backyard frequently. We are lucky to have bluejays too. I am too slow to get my camera out.
YOU ROCK! Seriously, I love getting comments, so know that you have put a bit of added sunshine in my day. Thanks so much and I hope your day is glorious!
How cheerful!

So lovely. We saw a few of these little birds in Virginia over the summer. We had never seen them before, what are they called?
ReplyDeleteAbi, they are cardinals, our state bird :)
DeleteThe Northern Cardinal type species was named by colonists for the male's red crest, reminiscent of a Catholic cardinal's mitre.
DeleteHow pretty! I saw a red robin hopping along the grass verge the other day but as I was driving couldn't stop to take a pic
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. We have several Cardinals here in Kentucky (state bird). I seen a blue one today :D

Wow, I have never seen or for that matter heard of a blue cardinal, that would be a treat! The cardinal is NC's state bird as well :)

ReplyDeleteDarlene, there are SO many times that the cardinal gets away before I can get the camera so I feel especially happy when he is "captured".
DeleteI'm not fond of bluejays at all since I consider them bullies. They used to harrass my cats terribly.
