I Love a List!....Win a Personalized Notepad!!!!
I rambled so long in my comments on a friend's blog that I have decide to just use my comments as a blog entry lol Yep taking the easy way today ;)
I LOVE a list!!! I only wish my house was as organized as my lists are. I make lists on cute personalized notepads (that I create), notepads touting a particular drug that is made by my husband's employer, envelopes from junk mail, notebooks, journals and dry erase boards. There is an inherent problem with making them on dry erase boards....you have to copy the list to take it with you or.....call home once you are in the store and have it dictated to you. Sometimes I decide against making the call but alas I always forget one or two items and they always end up being ones that were hugely important to someone in the house..."You forgot poptarts??!!"
I love the feeling of accomplishment when I mark through something on a "to do" list but all of my lists don't necessarily require action. I keep a gratitude journal and in it I list all the blessings in my life. I love looking back through the years and rereading the lists. My lists do all have one thing in common, they are NEAT! I have always loved the neatness of my handwriting, now again if my house were as neat as my handwriting....ahhh well not gonna happen.
Do you make lists? What kinds of lists do you create? Leave a comment here on the blog (love facebook comments but they won't count) and your name will be placed in a drawing for a personalized notepad to create your lists on or use however you like or hey, since your dictate the personalization it can be a gift for someone on your LIST! Baby Boy will draw the winning name on Saturday, October 9th,

1) I too love a list
ReplyDelete2) I too use junk mail envelopes for lists
3) I too get fussed at for forgeting the PopTarts but mostly becuase Phillip forgot to put them on...the list!
4) I too get great satisfaction when marking things off my list, however today at work, as I marked one thing off, I added another which completely negated my satisfaction!
Oooh! I love making lists! For online lists, I use tada.com. I also love stationary! I guess I'm a true peace woman, that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteHi Beverly and thank-you for visiting me today - delighted to find you! Ah, lists ... I am envying you your very neat handwriting as mine is, truthfully, so scrappy that at times I cannot read it myself. I have a love-hate relationship with lists - at times I love to make them, feeling a sense of satisfaction when they are completed. I hate them when I can't get them completed! Perhaps a really nice place to write them would help me value them more :). Yours look so lovely ...
ReplyDeleteI make lists on 3 x 5 notecards and use my favorite colored pens - I also like the way I write and I get a great deal of satisfaction from crossing through thinks as I get them done. Problem: Last week I couldn't find my notecard.....until my daughter in California called, "Mom, I got the box of clothes and gifts you sent, but you put your list in it so let me read it to you to see if you forgot to get something done." Luckily, I didn't forget to do anything, just to take it out of the stack of all the things I put in the box and mailed to her. Oh, well!
ReplyDeleteAnd to think that there has been a universe of other list makers out there all this time...I am not alone!! I love my list, feel lost without it, and I tend to pick up too many poptarts, just in case!
ReplyDeleteHi Beverly ~ Thank you for the sweet comment you left on my blog. :o) I came over to say hello and look what I found - a giveaway! LOL
ReplyDeleteI do make lists, but mine aren't nearly as neat looking as yours! They are usually scribbled on the back of an envelope or scrap paper.
Your blog is lovely - and I really like your idea for the monthly calendar feature! xo
Lists, lists and more lists - if I did not make them then I would not find most of what I have lost. Because I keep trying to come up with a system that will keep my lists of to do's, what to buy, errands to run, in one location, I typically find all the other things that have managed to "vanish" - my glasses, keys, medicine tray, cell phone case.
ReplyDeleteI love lists too! I have a problem with losing lists though. That really stinks too because when I rewrite the list I have a bad feeling I'm still forgetting something like poptarts!
ReplyDeleteHi Beverly - thanks for your comment on my blog and for visiting. Having fun reading through some of your posts :) I love to make lists too - lists of what I have to do on a daily basis, weekly basis, lists of what I need to get for Christmas (this starts about now!) and lists of what I need for going on vacation. Lists of lists too! I use whatever pretty notepads I can find in the stationery store - only I usually buy them when they are on sale!
ReplyDeleteOh I am such a list maker and find such satisfaction in marking items off a lists. A co-worker and I compare notes all the time about being list makers.
ReplyDeleteA couple of the lists I make: to do items, people I want to see, things I want to do, wish lists, grocery lists. If there are more than 2 items that are related I will put them on a list even if it is just in my head. :)
Yes, I'm a list maker too. There is nothing to beat the satisfaction of crossing something off!
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by my blog yesterday, it was good to hear from you :)
