They Will be Amazing Parents

These are my friends, Patience and Chris. Patience is like a little sister to me and I was thrilled to get to visit her this summer in Chicagoland.  Patience and Chris have been married for 15 years and for the last 10 they have battled infertility. When I say battled it truly is the right word. They have been through invasive procedures, clinics in 2 states, IVFs, a great deal of money and sadly miscarriages. They have thought long and hard and searched their souls to know what the next step should be for them. They know beyond all doubt that they want to be parents. I know without a doubt that they should be. Patience is a middle school special ed teacher working with students with learning disabilities. Chris is a year round swim coach for both age ranked swimmers and the local high school's men's team.  In both their work and personal lives they are surrounded by children that they both love and support.  They have made the decision that they are ready to adopt and I am so excited for them and for the child that will be theirs. To be honest I am excited because this child will be a part of my life, too. If you know of anyone (in the US) that is looking for adoptive parents or have resources where you can share their story and contact information it will be greatly appreciated. The link to their adoption website is  Chris and Patience Hoping to Adopt.

Their hearts and home (and Romeo) are waiting for a child to love!

Patience is extremely talented so if you are in the market for handmade cards, note cards and other goodies, check out her Etsy store. Money made through the store will help fund their adoption process.  PB Creations

  8. What a lovely tribute to your friends, Beverly. I know they will be wonderful parents, just based on what you have written here. My sister and her husband tried for years to have a baby and they eventually ended up adopting. Did you know that my niece and nephew (Presley and Stone) are adopted?

I wish your friends all the best in their endeavor. Blessings all around!!! xo
