Stephen and I are back from our road trip. The picture above gives you the stats but doesn't touch the experiences. We are tired of being in a car, we are tired of not being home. I am tired of not having Pearl curled up on the floor near me regardless of what room I am in or what I am doing. I am tired of being out of my eating, sleeping, living, exercise routine. Saying all that, we hit the road again this weekend to put 800 more miles on the car and our behinds! We have a family reunion in Georgia which will be great but boy I wish I could just push a button and be there. The expected high here for Friday is 104 so at least we'll be in an air conditioned car.
We both really love to travel, especially laid back trips but we will only have been in our own bed 11 nights in July. Oh well August only has one trip then fall arrives with football season and a few more adventures.
Great photo to document your numbers. I hope you had a great time, but I know what you mean about loving to be home!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to document your trip, Beverly! I love it! I know what you mean about traveling - it's fun but there really is no place like home.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the reunion this weekend! xo
Oh yes, it's always nice to be home. Robbie & I love road trips, but that first day home is always wonderful, too!
ReplyDeleteYes, it IS always good to be home...have a great weekend!

I love the way you recorded your stats! It's inspired
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that I was able to be with you in two of those states! Can't wait to make our way to Raleigh to see you this spring. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Beverly, thank you for leaving a lovely comment on my blog. Wow! that is a road trip, and as much as I love travel too, you can have too much of a good thing. I love the statistics, wish I'd thought of that when I did a trip in US from Las Vega to San Fransisco. Have a safe journey, and lots of happy memories.
